Butler Hospital Visitation Policies During Flu Season

To help protect the health of our patients, Butler Hospital is making changes to the hospital’s visitation policies, effective immediately. Changes include:

  • Family and friends with cold or flu-like symptoms should refrain from visiting patients in the hospital. Symptoms include, fever, body aches, cough, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
  • School age children are at high risk of contracting and spreading the H1N1 virus. Therefore, children under the age of 18 will not be allowed to visit patients in the hospital until flu season is over.
