Health Intervention for Quitting Smoking Study

Eligibility Criteria Current smokers age 18 - 65 who are interested in quitting may be eligible for the study.

Participation in the study would involve a brief physical health examination and completion of baseline assessment measures. If eligible, participants would engage in either a 12-week aerobic exercise intervention or a 12-week health education group study, plus standard smoking cessation sessions and transdermal nicotine patch. There would also be follow-up evaluations at the end of the exercise intervention, as well as 6 and 12 months later.
