Study - Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus Study (A14)

What is the A14 Study?

A pilot study evaluating beta-amyloid PET scan imaging and cerebral spinal fluid markers in relationship to outcome measures in Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus patients committed to shunt surgery.

What is the Purpose of A14?

This pilot This study will determine whether beta-amyloid as detected by PET scan imaging and spinal fluid sample, as well as tau protein levels in spinal fluid, predict changes in gait, cognition, and urinary control improvement at 3 months and 1 year following shunt surgery for NPH.

Eligibility:

Men and woman 60 years or older with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus
