Focused on specialized clinical care and research on conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, Butler Hospital’s neurology department is staffed by a team of national and international experts in neurology, neuroimaging, and neuropsychology.

The neurology department offers specialized care in the following areas:

Memory and Aging
The Memory and Aging Program at Butler Hospital specializes in treating people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders and in the treatment of neuropressure hydrocephalus (NPH). The program also offers national and international clinical research trials for Alzheimer’s disease and NPH.

The Memory and Aging Program also includes a Center for Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), which combines an advanced
brain imaging laboratory, an infusion suite, and a functional outcomes laboratory to improve early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

Movement Disorders
The Movement Disorders Program specializes in treating people with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

Research
