Butler Hospital’s expert staff in PAS will help determine the treatment level that will best meet the psychiatric needs of you or a loved one. The staff will develop an individualized care plan that will serve as the foundation for you or your loved one’s treatment at Butler and in the community.
During your psychiatric assessment, you will meet with the following staff members:
Intake coordinators greet you at the front door to PAS, take your information, and vital signs.
Patient registration representatives help coordinate your health insurance benefits.
Nurses/mental health clinicians help facilitate the admissions process and are available to answer your questions, talk with you, and help provide support.
Advanced practice registered nurses with specialized training in psychiatric and substance abuse assessments may help physicians conduct the assessment process. They can answer any questions and concerns you may have about your condition, your medicine, and your treatment.
Psychiatrists are doctors with advanced training in treating behavioral and brain-based illnesses. They will conduct a psychiatric assessment, develop a treatment plan, and can answer any questions and concerns you may have about your condition, your medicine, and your treatment.
These professionals will make every effort to ensure that the assessment process is as relaxed and stress-free as possible. If something is not clear to you, please feel free to ask questions at any time. An intake coordinator is available at the desk at all times if you need assistance.
