Each treatment unit has adopted a visitors’ policy that best suits the needs of patients while allowing important unit functions to proceed. Visiting hours are posted outside each unit entrance and are available upon admission to the hospital. Patients and parents of minor patients may choose to limit their visitors to certain people. Certain visitors may not be allowed to visit based on the needs of the patient and the unit. A physician’s order is required to restrict specific visitors from the unit. If the patient disagrees with the physician’s order, they may bring up the issue with the unit chief/nurse manager or mental health advocate.
Visits by Clergy
Clergy may visit parishioners at times other than regular posted visiting hours. When visiting the hospital, community clergy must already know that a parishioner is a patient. Staff members are not permitted to disclose such information. If there is a crisis on the unit, visiting clergy may be asked to wait until the situation is resolved.
Visiting Hours
Senior Treatment Unit (Unit L1, Lippitt Building)
- Monday - Friday: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Weekends and holidays: Noon - 6:00 pm
- Adults and children may visit.
- Staff will try to arrange for visits at other times of the day.
Alcohol and Drug Treatment Unit (Unit 1A)
- Monday - Friday: 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
- Weekends and holidays: Noon - 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- Visitors limited to two visitors per patient at a time.
- Visits are at the discretion of staff.
Children’s Intensive Treatment Unit (Unit 1B)
- Monday - Friday: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Weekends and holidays: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Staff will try to arrange for visits at other times of the day.
- No visiting hours on Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons to accommodate unit field trips.
Adolescent Treatment Unit (Unit 2A)
- Monday - Friday: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Weekends and holidays: 11:00 am - 1:30 pm; 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Visits limited to not more than three family members
Children’s Treatment Unit (Unit 2B)
- Monday - Friday: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Weekends and holidays: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Visitors limited to three per patient
- Staff will check items being brought on the unit.
Intensive Treatment Unit
- Monday - Friday: 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm; 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- Weekends and holidays: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
General Treatment Unit (Unit 4)
- Monday - Friday: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- Weekends and holidays: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
- Adults and children may visit - two visitors at one time.
Kent Unit
- Monday - Friday: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Weekends and holidays: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
