After graduating from George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Fulton completed a residency in internal medicine, a chief residency, and geriatric fellowship at Brown University.
Dr. Fulton is chief of Geriatrics for Care New England, and medical director for Integra Community Care Network, LLC. She joined the faculty of Brown University in 2006 and subsequently received a Geriatric Academic Career Award from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as a junior faculty member. She currently holds associate professorships in both Medicine and in Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
A major focus of her clinical and academic work is on improving end of life and transitional care for persons with cognitive impairment. Dr. Fulton is the Care New England site director and Co-Project director for the recently funded Rhode Island Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Project (RI-GWEP).
