Description

Butler Hospital researchers are studying the effectiveness and safety of a new medication taken in combination with a selective serotonin receptor inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant for patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This is a placebo-controlled study that may last up 21 weeks, with about two office visits per month. Volunteers must be between the ages of 18-65 years old, currently prescribed a selective serotonin receptor inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, and in generally good health. Study medication, study visits, and study related laboratory work are provided at no cost. A course of cognitive behavioral therapy will be made available to patients after the study at no cost.
