Project HEAT (Helping Emerging Adults Transition) is a study for men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 who are sexually active.
Participation is confidential and you are compensated for your time up to $725.
Participation may involve a series of interviews and the opportunity to meet with a health interventionist.
If you are interested in the study or currently enrolled and due for a follow-up appointment, call us at 401-455-6650, or e-mail ProjectHEAT@butler.org.
The General Medicine Research Unit (GMRU) at Butler Hospital conducts studies on a variety of health behavior topics including sleep research, addictive disorders, and health behaviors of different age groups. We are currently conducting projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, and collaborate with other departments at Butler Hospital and the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Funding for the HEAT study is provided by NIAAA, a component of the National Institutes of Health.
