Description

Participation in this study would involve an initial interview and completion of baseline measures, including a visit with the study physician and a supervised, sub-maximal treadmill exercise test. If eligible, participants would be randomly assigned to engage in one of two health-based interventions: a 12-week moderate-intensity aerobic exercise program at the Butler Hospital Fitness Facility or a 12-week health and wellness program focusing on support and education regarding healthy lifestyle choices and information specifically for individuals living with OCD. There will be follow-up evaluations at the end of treatment, and 3, 6, and 12 months later. Participants will be compensated up to $445 for full participation in the baseline and follow-up assessments, as well as the weekly sessions.
