On June 20th, over 130 individuals and 39 organizations gathered at Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth, MA to kick off the 13th Annual Butler Hospital with Dana Quigley and Friends Golf Challenge, presented by R.P. Iannuccillo & Sons Construction Co. Champions Tour “Iron Man” Dana Quigley demonstrated his techniques at the Phalanx Engineering Golf Clinic. Golfers enjoyed a great day on the course thanks to sunny weather and clear skies.

Dana’s friends and the celebrities made the tournament even more exciting for their teams. The celebrity line-up included Patriots Alumni, Rick Buffington, Steve Groran, Halvor Hagen, Ilia Jarostchuk, John Mahoney, and Tom Stephens. Dave O’Brien, alumnus of the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals, also made the roster.  Chris Herren, former Boston Celtics guard, had a great time with his team while Ken Hodge (retired NHL Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, New York Rangers) and Don Marcotte (retired NHL Boston Bruins) were basking in the Bruins’ recent Stanley Cup win. Of course, the tournament wouldn’t be complete without Golf Pro Paul Parajeckas and PGA Senior Tour Pro Jim Thorpe.

Dana QuigleyDuring the Player’s Reception, Cindy and John Duncan shared their family’s inspirational story about one of their son’s struggles which led him to seek treatment at Butler Hospital. A hush fell across the room as the players were reminded of the value of this event. The Reception culminated in a competitive live auction and spontaneous gift matching by Dana Quigley.

Special thanks to Greg Iannuccillo and R.P. Iannuccillo & Sons Construction Co., not only for their Presenting Sponsorship, but also for their continuous support in all of Butler’s endeavors. Thank you to Dana and Angie Quigley for sharing in this annual tradition with us and making it so unique. Butler Hospital is also grateful to all of our friends, donors, sponsors, advertisers, golfers, volunteers, and the Golf Committee who made this tournament a successful event. We hope to see you again on the greens next year!
