The 9th Annual Butler Hospital with Dana Quigley and Friends Golf Challenge raised over $220,000 making this the most successful Challenge to date!
On June 25th, attendees enjoyed a grand evening of fabulous food, fun, and friends at Dana’s Dinner and Auction Gala. The stage was the Grand Pequot Tower Ballroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino. The guests mingled with Dana and his “friends” Ed Dougherty, Allen Doyle, Michael Harbour, Paul Parajeckas, Des Smyth, C.J. Talbert and Jim Thorpe.
Many unique items were up for auction. Competitive bidding took place for the Green Monster Tickets at Fenway, a David Yurman bracelet, some distinctive humidors and cigar sets, and a trip to Honduras. After dinner, the guests roared in laughter while watching Charlie Hall and his Rhode Island Ocean State Follies perform.
On June 26th, the golfers were blessed with sun all day on the North Course at Lake of Isles. The players had a chance to watch and learn from Dana and the Pros during the clinic. The excitement continued throughout the day as Dana roamed the course and played with each team.
The capstone of the event was the players’ reception and awards ceremony. As a special gesture of gratitude, Greg Iannuccillo, one of Butler’s loyal supporters and the tournament’s Presenting Sponsor, was given the tournament’s banner signed by each of the Pros.
Though it was fun and exciting, attendees and golfers also learned about mental illness and the treatment that is available at Butler Hospital. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves while raising money for Butler Hospital and its mission.
This event would not be possible without the support and friendship of Dana and Angie Quigley. Their dedication, year after year, is truly remarkable.
We would also like to acknowledge the enthusiastic work of our Co-Chairs, Joe Recupero and Jeff Sparr, and our Golf Committee Members, Mona Anderson, Michele Berard, Allen Cicchitelli, Rick Granoff, Greg Iannuccillo, Kekin Shah and Jennifer Sparr.
And, a special thank you to all of our participants and donors!
Thank you to all of our generous supporters.
