Butler Hospital originally opened its doors in 1847. While the hospital is known as the leader in psychiatric care, many people are still unsure of what goes on behind our doors.

In an effort to reach out and share our deep history, the hospital has opened its doors. Each month, Butler Hospital offers a lunch and tour of the hospital. Attendees have the opportunity to hear about our history, visit our libraries, and take a tour of one of our new units. This monthly event is an opportunity for us to showcase our facility, our grounds, and our staff.
