What to Expect During Your Visit

Whether you walk in or call ahead, your visit follows a simple, supportive process:

  1. Check-In: Our team welcomes you and gathers basic information.
  2. Brief Screening: A behavioral health staff member asks quick questions to understand your immediate needs.
  3. Full Behavioral Health Evaluation: You’ll meet with a licensed clinician for a complete assessment.
  4. Personalized Care Plan: Together, we outline the next steps based on your goals and level of need.
  5. Medication Support: Includes medication review, refills, or short-term prescriptions when appropriate.
  6. Care Connections: We help coordinate your next level of care whether the referral comes from within our system or an outside provider. Our team partners closely with primary care practices, behavioral health clinicians, community providers, and across the Care New England system such as the Kent Emergency Department, Women’s Behavioral Health at Women & Infants Hospital, The Providence Center (TPC), Integra, and other CNE operating units. Our goal is to serve as a collaborative behavioral health partner wherever you’re coming from.
  7. Post-Visit Support: You leave with a clear plan and follow-up instructions.
