Support Groups on the Butler Hospital Campus

A variety of support groups are hosted on the Butler Hospital campus, including some connected to Butler Hospital programs, as well as independently hosted support groups.

The Providence Center

The Providence Center is a community resource, providing people with mental health and substance use services in their homes, schools and neighborhoods through over 40 programs and wraparound services, including food and housing, job training, legal services, primary health care and wellness activities.

RIParent Information Network (RIPIN)

RIPIN provides information, support, and training to help families get more involved in their child's life, especially at school.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI Rhode Island connects the community of people who are working to end the stigma associated with mental illness through education, support and advocacy.

Peace Love Studios

PeaceLove, a movement of hope and support for communities impacted by mental health disorders, helps people create peace of mind through expressive arts and a symbol of hope.

Al-Anon, RI

Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else's drinking. Members, who come from all walks of life, meet to share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems.

Alcoholics Anonymous, RI

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience,strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Parent Support Network of Rhode Island

The Parent Support Network is an organization of families supporting families with children, youth, and young adults who experience or are at risk for serious behavioral, emotional, and/or mental health challenges.

Narcotics Anonymous

RINA offers recovery support to people struggling with substance use disorders. The focus is on the disease of addiction rather than any particular drug.

SMART Recovery

SMART Recovery is an abstinence-oriented program designed to help individuals find solutions to addictive behavior. The program is science-based and aimed to help people learn some of what scientists know about addiction, as well as effective and practical ways to face their problems head on.

Suicide Survivors Hope Group

The mission of Suicide Survivors Hope Group is to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide by funding research, offering educational programs to professional and the public, promoting policies and legislation that impact suicide prevention, and providing programs and resources for survivors of suicide loss.

Mental Health Association of RI

The Mental Health Association of Rhode Island promotes mental health, prevents mental illness, improves the system of care for mental health through advocacy, education, service, and the dissemination of research.
