The Hospitality Suite supports a smooth transition for patients to home or aftercare upon discharge. It offers a place to:
- Collect belongings and valuables that have been in storage.
- Gather educational materials.
- Meet with pharmacist for medication reconciliation.
- Wait for transportation, either from family, friend or RIPTA bus.
The space includes a large seating area where patients and family members can comfortably sit and browse educational materials or wait for transportation. There are snacks and beverages available. There is a desk where the hospitality staff provides assistance to discharging patients, return patients’ belongings, and answer any final questions patients may have. A private room is devoted to medication reconciliation.

Belongings that are not permissible are placed in a storage bag and stored safely in a secured area of the Hospitality Suite. Coordinating aftercare and medications

Patients may choose to wait outside for their ride allowing for people to use the circular drive to pull up to Sawyer entrance without needing to park. Vehicles may not be left unattended. If patient is not ready for pick up, the driver should park the car in Lot A and check in at the Hospitality Suite.
