The program provides crisis stabilization and brief intensive treatment for teens struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, and other mental illnesses. Support is also provided for teens who have thoughts of suicide or self-harming behaviors. Treatment programs and activities take place daily on the unit and include a multi-dimensional approach to wellness by combining individual treatment, group therapies, and medications. We offer therapeutic groups such as community meetings, occupational therapy groups, and psychoeducational groups on a daily basis. Teens also meet with a child psychiatrist daily and work with our team of nurses and mental health workers to support progress toward individualized treatment goals. ** #### A Typical Day Includes: - Breakfast, lunch and dinner, and snacks - Community meetings (at least one per shift) - Psychoeducational groups - Group therapy/ open process group -  Physical activity times -  Visits with family members  - Occupational therapy or activity groups - Individual treatment work times  - Individual check-ins with staff - Relaxation group [![View Our Inpatient Program FAQs](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/6898349/387cd9cf-a25c-469c-aa7a-19797e1bbbdb.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/6898349/387cd9cf-a25c-469c-aa7a-19797e1bbbdb) ## Meeting the Needs of Patients It is not uncommon for people who struggle with psychiatric disorders, such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or post traumatic stress disorder, to also have an active dependency on alcohol or other drugs. We are prepared to meet the needs of patients who may also require help for substance abuse issues. ##### Family Involvement Each teen will have a family meeting during their stay to set treatment goals, coordinate care, and identify post-discharge services. This meeting is facilitated by the child psychiatrist and social worker assigned to the teen. Family members will also be regularly updated by the treatment team and are invited to visit during scheduled visiting hours for the unit. Friends and family can play an important role in your treatment. Limiting visitors to two people at a time is recommended; you may speak with the treatment team if other visits need to be arranged. In some instances, teens may work on additional family-based assignments, such as a Family Journal, Family Safety Plan, or Family Relationships work packet.  ##### Visits by Clergy Butler Hospital's chaplain is available to meet with you and your family members and can be reached at [(401) 455-6483](tel:+(401)%20455-6483).
