Study Information

This study is funded by the National Institute of Health to study the neurobiology of core clinical features of obsessive-compulsive spectrum and anxiety disorders. Findings from this study may have direct implications for public health policy related to these common and disabling illnesses, including guidance for the development of new treatments.

Participation in this study involves an initial screening appointment to verify eligibility that includes completion of interviews and questionnaires. Eligible individuals are asked to attend two additional visits to complete computer tasks and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at Brown University. Participants are also asked to complete two follow-up assessments, one and two years after the initial appointments.



Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if:

  • You are between the ages of 18 and 55.
  • You have obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social phobia, compulsive hoarding, or obsessive compulsive personality disorder.


Compensation/Reimbursement

Participants are compensated for their time, up to $100 for each study visit. Eligible individuals who complete all study procedures will be compensated $500.
